Winning in Car DUELS [NOW!] is not about looking the fastest in a straight line. It is about converting front-bumper contact into eliminations while your Red or Blue roster stays alive. Rounds end when enemies are pushed off the arena into the water and the opposing color is gone. Everything below serves that outcome: angle, momentum, edge geometry, Garage power, and teammate discipline.

The win condition, restated

• Eliminate rivals by knocking them off the platform.
• Protect allies from the same fate.
• Survive as a color until the other side is empty.

That means a flashy solo demo that also yeets your teammate is a net loss. Scoreboard glory is secondary to team elimination math.

Bumper contact is the skill ceiling

Your nose is the weapon. Side scrapes and rear bumps can nudge someone, but clean wins usually come from presenting the front bumper with speed behind it. Practice these habits:

1. Square the hit. Approach so the bumper face meets the target’s side or rear quarter instead of glancing past.
2. Arrive with momentum, leave with options. Commit enough speed to move mass, but keep a reverse or steer escape if the edge is behind you.
3. Hit through the target’s balance. Aim to disturb their driving line toward the water, not merely to make sparks in the safe center.
4. Avoid mirror head-ons near the rim. Equal pushes on the brink often coin-flip both cars; angle off-center so their vector points outward while yours points tangential or inward.

Center control

• Do not chase a kill so far that your rear faces open water with an enemy behind you.

• Feint retreat: Back up just enough to make someone overextend, then drive through their nose toward the rim.

Two teammates hitting the same enemy from the same vector often cancel precision. Approach from different angles so one player pins while the other converts toward water.

Call the edge mentally

Even without voice chat, drive as if your ally can finish a pin. If a teammate has someone cocked on the lip, do not ram the ally from behind. Add a lateral finish or guard against a third enemy swinging in.

Friendly spacing

Leave a lane. Bumper sumo in a clump turns into random explosions where color identity stops mattering. Spread just enough to cover escapes without abandoning cross-saves.

1. Spawn in with a Garage plan already chosen.
2. Enter the arena; take a safe mid-ring lane instead of a suicide center dive.
3. First contact: test bumper angles on distracted enemies.
4. Mid-round: prioritize saves and numbers; farm edges when ahead.
5. Late-round: shrink risk, force 1v1s toward water, refuse coin-flip head-ons on the brink.
6. Between rounds: convert Cash immediately if an upgrade changes your next shove.

Mistakes that throw winnable games

• Celebrating a near-kill while someone boots you out from behind.
• Tunneling the same rival across the whole map while their teammate cleans your color.
• Spending all Cash on non-sumo vanity before bumper/weight spikes.
